The chicken motif is so charming and the pattern works up quickly for a stocking with this much personality. I’ve already got two done for friends, and the stitch definition really makes that little comb and beak pop.

I’ve knit a lot of holiday stockings over the years, but this chicken pattern is the first one that made me genuinely laugh while working the toe decreases.
