The granny squares are so forgiving—my tension was all over the place and it still looks perfect on the couch. I swapped in some leftover worsted weight yarn and the pattern took to it beautifully, a genuinely fun way to burn through my stash.

Took me a single weekend to finish this, and the worsted weight yarn worked up beautifully with the classic granny squares. The pattern is so easy to customize that I swapped in two different colors and it still came out perfectly balanced.

The granny square construction makes this such a relaxing weekend project, and I love how it lets me play with color combinations. Used up a bunch of worsted weight yarn I'd been hoarding, and the finished pillow is exactly the cozy autumn vibe I wanted.
