Some techniques you will encounter in this sweater: knitting in the round, folded collar, increase/decrease stitches, stranded colorwork with multiple colors, intarsia in the round (if you choose this technique), short rows, duplicate stitch, and some embroidery techniques. Construction
Sweater starts top-down with a folded collar. Repeating motifs are included and suggested to use stranded colorwork technique. There are 4 different interchangeable motif patterns included in the pattern!

Pet faces were added to the sweater using either stranded colorwork or intarsia in the round. Stranded colorwork will create a much heavier sweater than intarsia will.

You will select the blank pet face chart that corresponds to the breed you want to use and will knit the bare face with one color. Details will be added to the pet faces with duplicate stitch and embroidery techniques included in the pattern

Charts Included
This pattern includes every cat and dog chart I have made. There are a total of 18 cat breeds and 38 dog breeds represented in the pattern, and all different breeds can be customized to match your unique pet! Please see the table of contents photo for a comprehensive list of every breed included in the pattern.

Please note that charts may not be shared or published in any way.

Pattern will require small amounts of different color yarns depending on the breed. You will need to review the pattern for color requirements. The yarn below is for the sweater and the star.

Leo ★★★★★

The seamless top-down construction means zero seaming at the end, which is a huge win for me. I’m an intermediate knitter and the charts for both cats and dogs were a fun challenge without being frustrating. My sweater’s finished and already on my needles for a second one.

Edward T. ★★★★★

The charts are labeled so clearly that even the cat vs. dog motifs were easy to tell apart, and knitting top-down meant I could try it on my pup as I went. Finished the whole thing in a weekend with worsted yarn and it's already his favorite sweater.

Natalie ★★★★★

I was nervous about knitting in the round but the seamless top-down construction made it so much easier to follow, even with all those charts. The kitten chart is my favorite and the worsted weight yarn gives it a nice sturdy feel. Definitely a fun weekend project.
