The little elephant is palm-sized and the crochet stitch is tight enough that my nephew can squish and stretch it without any loose threads. It took me about ten minutes to make a whole colorful herd for his playdate, and each one kept the kids entertained with their own tiny personality.
My kids fought over who got to use this one first—the trunk and little stitched eyes are so expressive they actually made them giggle. It’s tiny but sturdy enough for rough toddler play, and the bright color makes it easy to spot when it inevitably gets tossed in the toy bin.
The little trunk and ears have such nice stitch definition, and the bright color options make them perfect for a quick afternoon of silly puppet shows. I’ve already made three and the kids keep grabbing them for every story we read.
