Tabby Cat Christmas Stocking (Heklet)

The stripes and tabby markings in this crochet pattern look so realistic once finished, and the stocking hangs beautifully on our mantel. I've made three as gifts already, and the instructions were clear enough that each one came out looking just like the photo.

My cat tried to "help" me with this pattern by sitting right on the yarn, and I still managed to finish the stocking in two cozy evenings. The tabby stripe colorwork is cleverly charted and the finished piece looks adorable hanging by the fireplace. Now I want to crochet one for every cat I know.

The instructions were clear and the stitch definitions easy to follow, which made working up those little tabby stripes a breeze. I hung it on the mantle today and the scale is perfect next to our other stockings. Can't wait to see it filled on Christmas morning.
