Eenvoudig Chevron Afwasdoekje (Breiwerk)

This knit up in one easy evening and the chevron stripes make it look way more expensive than a plain dishcloth. The yarn-over increases and the slip-stitch decreases were a good challenge for my basic skills, and the finished ripple texture actually scrubs dried-on sauce off pretty well.

The ripple pattern with its chevron stripes is so satisfying to knit up, and the slip stitch edges keep it from curling like my last few dishcloths did. It works great for wiping counters and survives the wash without losing its shape.

I’d cast on and off a few dishcloth patterns before, but this one’s slip-stitch ripple kept my hands busy without boring me. The k2tog and yo decreases created a texture that actually scrubs well, and it dried stiff enough to stand up on the counter between uses. Already knitting a second one.
