Jersey de Bebé Mandala Ombre (Ganchillo)

I’m not a fast crocheter, but the single crochet and chains worked up so quickly that I finished the 6-month size in two evenings. The underarm seaming was the only fiddly part, yet even that felt straightforward since the whole sweater is one piece. My niece will be styling this come fall for sure.

The one-piece construction made this work up so fast—I had the preemie size done in a lazy afternoon. The ombre yarn pooling was gorgeous on the simple single crochet, and the chain stitches kept the fabric light and airy for a newborn.

The single-crochet construction worked up faster than I expected, and the ombre yarn did all the colorwork for me. Sizing ran true for the 12-month size, and the one-piece design meant barely any seaming at the underarms.
