Weihnachtsbaumschmuck (Häkeln)

The two sizes are a lifesaver when I’ve got both 6cm and 8cm baubles on the tree. I knocked one out in a single podcast episode, and the embellishment tips actually made it look store-bought rather than homemade.

Made the larger size in about an hour while watching TV, and it slipped right over a standard glass ball. The stitch details around the ornament opening are really neat, and the embellishment tips gave me a cute idea with some beads.

The two-size option is handy—I used the smaller one for a mini tree and it fit the 3-inch ball perfectly. Directions were clear enough that I didn't have to redo any rows, though I wish the embellishment tips went a bit further. Still, it's a solid pattern that'll get a lot of use.
